For those who like the color of cherry before it darkens, red birch may be the answer.

The bottom rail of our upper cabinets is designed for under cabinet lighting.

The tops of the cabinets are finished with red birch shelves above the crown molding 

because they are visible from the 2nd floor.  This also gives the appearance of a larger crown molding.

This cabinet is divided unevenly into a pantry and a broom closet.

The doors are the same size but the interior split is designed to maximize the pantry side.

The countertops and sink are Avonite solid surface.
